Prof Mikhail Kosiborod

Prof Kosiborod is the Vice President of Research at Saint Luke’s Health System, Director of Cardiometabolic Research and Co-Director of the Saint Luke’s Michael & Marlys Haverty Cardio Metabolic Center of Excellence at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute, and an internationally recognised cardiologist.

He is also Executive Director of the Cardiometabolic Center Alliance, a coalition that seeks to establish Cardiometabolic Centers of Excellence nationwide in the US. The Cardiometabolic Center of Excellence was built at Saint Luke’s in 2018, and is designed to treat cardiovascular complications in patients with type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, and other related comorbidities. This treatment requires coordinated care by an interdisciplinary team.
