State the Purpose and Name the Project / Team
Milestone
By completing this task, you will have:
- A Vision and Mission statement that is clearly stated and agreed to by the Core Team
- A catchy name for the Project and/or Team in the Clinic (including reference to “CaReMe”)
Guidance
Aim: Define Vision & Mission statements.
Objective: Purpose of the organisation is to inspire, motivate and instil a sense of belonging within the team. To ensure that the team works towards the common goal.
Vision statement: Depicts the future image of your organisation – who you aim to become (“the destination”). A long-term goal to guide the organisation to fulfil its purpose.
Mission statement: Outlines the aims & values, and sets the direction – who you are and serve & how to do it.

- Working with the Core Team (Step 1)
- Before brainstorming, you might find it useful to read a bit more about Vision and Mission. There are plenty of examples on the web for very good (and bad) Vision and Mission statements. Get inspired!
- If you struggle to start with this task, feel free to jump to the others and come back to defining the purpose later. Remember this is fundamental.
